Yes!! Last week I was thinking to myself that I wished you'd do a post on the topic of 1%, explaining it. I even took notes today, LOL!
Just last night I watched a movie on the early life of Pistol Pete Maravich, at age 13. I was so enthralled I stayed up WAY too late to see the whole movie, which I had caught by accident.
Amazing story. In it... the 5 foot 13 year old was playing basketball with the seniors at his high school (who naturally gave him a hard time).
At one point, he was showing a basketball drill to one kid who finally warmed up to him. This older kid couldn't do it. Pete then did it. And told him the difference:
"You 'thought' you could do it... I KNEW I could do it."
I immediately thought of that scene when I saw this video.
The advice really spoke to me because like you know, I'm struggling with even seeing myself be successful again. I already have it in my mind that it's over for me... what's the point of trying to lose weight already. But your advice is so right on. None of this, I hope I get in my exercise today. It's either I do or don't!

ReplyDeletePete was awesome... definitely 1%. He wasn't taught how to think like that, he naturally understood how it separated him from the pack.
ReplyDeletePart 2 coming soon. Thanks, Loretta.

You're so welcome, Annie! I'm glad it spoke to you. Sacrificing our old belief systems is key to creating new ones!
