Pain Is Good

You're very right. Sometimes half of the problem is that the fear of the pain is that it isn't just in the short term, but the long term.

Hi Laura, (thought it was 2 r's in laura- ha)

This short term pain makes us all feel like it's going to last forever... which is why so many stop short of their goals. Not being able to withstand this pain is our downfall. Actually, not understanding it's only short term is REALLY our weakness.

Thanks for the comment. Hope you're doing well. Still want you to guest blog when you have time. If you have any topics you'd like to write about, please feel free to email me any time!!

Thank you very much Dayne.
Initially, I was very contemplative of the thought that someone was actually interested in both my story and my opinions, but through your consisted effort in helping others, I believe that you are the real deal. You see, during my lifetime, I have come to the realisation that most of the time, males can let you down. Whether it's about superficiality, infidelity or violence, I can honesty say that I have learnt my lesson to be weary of men in general. But I think, or I'm learning that perhaps I could be wrong. Maybe it's because I've come across a bad bunch, or maybe it's because I'm sensitive to negativity, but either way, you have shined a light that I didn't think I'd be able to see. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Perhaps it would be easier for you to email me about a topic in which you'd like me to discuss in detail, as it would coincide with your regime much better than a random thought of mine.
Seriously, thank you. Your posts keep me motivated and let me know that there IS life out there just waiting for me.

Dear Dayne at Coach Your Mind,
I need some coaching. You see, I have this problem where I can serve a 50 balls in in a row out of a basket. But when I get in a match, I can't go a game without double faulting. I'm not too sure, but it seems as though you would say I have something wrong with my mental game. Could you please enlighten me to your way and give me the secret pill that will fix it all. It's really quite frustrating.
I think it's what you would call a perpetuating cycle.

Please kill me now.

Sincerely,
girl who misses mental lessons twice a week

Laura, thank you for such kind words! I'm beyond honored that you would take the time to comment like this. If I've helped in even the smallest way, its only because you were ready... & you've always had it in you!

I bring nothing that you probably haven't heard a thousand times... its simply YOUR TIME to shine; to "see that light."

Again, thank you for such kind words!!

Erica, I'm having difficult time figuring out the tone if your comment. Could br serious... could be sarcastic! I DO miss the days for sure!

Thanks, you two!!

I agree with Laura... you are the real deal. I am not an athlete, yet you have helped me so much with my "mental game".

I just now watched this video... I had avoided it because of the title. Yep, that's how much I NEEDED to watch it. This morning I had that "ah ha" moment, and realized WHY I resisted it. In fact, I'm writing my whole post around it today.

You are a "secret weapon". I've mentioned you several times in my blog over the past year, yet I don't think people realize how valuable your blog is, maybe because my followers tend to not be "athletes", and don't get the connection.

Oh well... I do.

You have made a difference in my life. And I, too, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Wow... thank you, Loretta!!

I appreciate your kinds words very much. My blog isn't only for athletes. Actually, it was never meant to target athletes only.

Everything I write about and teach translates to every part of our lives. Best thing, is we get to choose where to implement them.

Thanks again. I look forward to reading Monday's post.
